Easter by Jeff Tankersley
|Crab leg buffet and blackjack, that sounds like a fun time! My problem is that I usually walk away a hundred dollars down, not up. It is still fun, though, when we get to go somewhere that has that sort of thing. 'T' and I went down to Denver a few weeks ago to see a Van Halen concert (anyone remember them?), actually I kinda dragged him to it,they were a little before his time. After the show we stayed the night in a small mountain town that has been turned into a casino area. We played some poker and had a few beers and fun. I'm not very good, but I think it only cost me a hundred dollars for several hours of playing. 'T', though, is pretty good and walked away a hundred dollars up, so the family did OK considering the free beer.
That human body exhibit has been moving around the west for a year or so, and it sounds just the way you describe it, James, a little creepy but very interesting.
Right now I am looking out the window at a gorgeous Easter morning, bright blue sky and sun shining on the mountains. At around five o'clock this morning, the moon woke me up like someone had turned a light on in my face-- did anyone else notice the full moon this weekend? It was stunning up here.
Cindy, Julia, and Bobby came up for a few days on their spring break and did some snowboarding (the kids, that is). Cindy just hung out with Jodi for a couple of days, and then we went to Aspen for a day to check out the sights. We took a ride on the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain - incredible views- and had lunch at our favorite locals hangout in town, and did some shopping. The Aspen Thrift Shop is a way cool place to shop!
Is Sybil in Alaska?
Hope all are well and having a nice Easter!
Love you all, Jeff
