Amish Sale by Janell Rose
I am going to list information on the Amish Sale at Clarita, OK in case some of the Oklahoma family might wantto go to the sale. Jr. and I are going to Durant and spend the night Friday Night. As the sale actually starts at 8:00 A.M. but they are Open 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Open early for viewing. We have talked about going for 3 - 4 years and actually going to attend this year.
Saturday, Sept. 10
Location, Clarita, OK on Ben Troyer Farm, Hwy 48 - between Tupelo and Clarita. 35 miles north of Durant, 35 miles SE of Ada, 11 miles west of Colgate. Phone #580-924-0848 in case get lost. Parking $2.00 per car benefits local charities.
Crafts - 100 Dealer Booths, Everything - Antiques, etc.
Pancakes & Sausage served from 6:00 to 10:00 A.M.
The Amish Ladies will have a Lunch Stand & Bake Sale. Lots of Home Bakes Goodies & Whole Hog Sausage made by Amish. Lunch Stand, Bake Sale & All Commisions go to the Clarita Amish School
Sale is held 2nd. Sat. in Sept. every year.

AUCTION SCHEDULE: 8:00 A.M. aNTIQUES, fURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS 9:00 A.M. Farm equip, vehicles. Antique Furniture begins at 11:00 A.M. Quilts begin 12:30P.M. In order to get everything sold - auctions will be held in 3 or more auction rings at the same time. I was advised they use large tents to keep people out of the sun. Attendance last year was between 10,000 to 15,000 with tour buses from Tulsa, OK City, Ft. Smith, Ar.
Would love to run into some of the family in the crowd.
