Dearest Shari - Yes Shari, I'm sure everyone that knew Tommy is remembering - both friends and family. He was the dearest, sweetest person - I just wish we could have lived closer and been able to see more of all your family. Eileen's Daughter, Jaclyn printed two of the most wonderful 5 x 7 pictures of Tom for us from the RoseNose Site. One - when he was "Young" at the PigRoast and the other with Randy in front of the Waterfall. I framed these pictures, they are in our den where we pass them everyday. They are about shoulder level on the entertainment center. I've seen Jr. stop and look at them so frequently - just stand there and study them and I stop also. Tom is very much with us - like Jr's Mom, she has always been so close - so many little things remind me of that dear, dear lady.
As for the Antiques - tonight, I wish I had never seen an "antique." Shari, I'm sure you don't know, we have had a booth in an antique mall for the last 7 1/2 years. It is a large one - 10' by 24' (plus an End Cap) in fact way too large right now, we received notification on Aug. 7 - the owner was closing the Mall and retiring. I have spent two days in Grapevine, TX researching a location and we have all this mess to move. Yesterday, I worked at the Mall from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. packing - again today from 12:30 to 6:00 P.M. I have not even made a dent and don't know where I am going to get more boxes - nor do I know where I can put them. The Dining Room is totally loaded - could not get to the table if you wanted to. Center bedroom has only a walking trail to my closet. They will be inching into the other 2 bedrooms before we are done. It is going to be a terrible job to get this move completed. We can't actually move product in the Mall till Sept. 1 (when rent starts) but we can take in all the Store Fixtures - so that means all this "stuff" has to come home. I am always wanting company and as much as I would love to see any and all family members - if you drove up right now - as much as I love all of you, I would probably sit down and cry. (Give me till past mid-Sept. I honestly can not even vacumn AND don't have time.) The new Mall Owners have advised we need to be in and set up before Sept. 9, 10, 11 and 12 because several hundred people come to the Annual "Grapefest" they block off Main street for 4 days from Morning till Dark. Street is full of Vendors, Band competitions from neighboring towns, etc. We also need to be set up for Labor Day - but I doubt we can make it.
Shari, the reason I bought the new computer and digital camera was to try some Internet Business. I'm trying to get all the "red tape" finalized - Renew our business name - has to be done every 10 years, can't set up an acct. with E-Bay, PayPal, etc. without giving them a Bank Acct. # (not going to give our personal acct.) Can't get a bank acct. without the name certificate. I know why some people don't bother with this. And tonight, I was reading an article in Consumer Report about Phishing, Spyware, etc. etc. that scares the heck out of a person. This world is really changing and I don't think I am ready for it.
However, if I ever figure out this camera - I will send you a picture of some vintage jewelry. I finally figured out how to get a picture on the computer - now to learn how to forward. I could use some good expert advice from anyone. Thanks to all for listening while I talk with Shari - we don't communicate very well with E-Mail. Think of You and Randy so much and I hope we can have a reunion before long. Take care, we love you. Jr. and Janell
